Agreed. Finally someone who recognizes that Trump is not conservative, and not a politician.
I would have called him a populist not a pragmatist, but they have similar characteristics and either way I do like that he tries to fix problems and is straight forward in what he says. Both admirable traits.
I suspect that there won't be a lot of liberal posts on this thread since it doesn't fit their world view.
Krauthammer is right on that the Republican's who have been in power have continued to spend and have helped get us to where we are today. Where I think he is wrong is that the Republicans that he speaks of are Republicans, but they are not conservative. They don't favor small government, reduced spending, and they are g*******ts instead of nationalists.
Krauthammer was a great analyst of politics and is greatly missed.

It's a shame that liberals don't buy in to this as one of the past Democrat Presidents said something similar...."Let us not seek the Republican answer or the Democratic answer, but the right answer. Let us not seek to fix the blame for the past. Let us accept our own responsibility for the future."

I don't really care who wrote it. I was saying two things. I agree with the content of the article and I think that Krauthammer is going to be missed.
I do appreciate the check as to who did or did not write the piece however.

In all reality, I generally read through all of the replies to a post. If someone has responded with something close to what I'd have posted, I don't reply or give that reply a thumb up or so. However, I occasionally am pressed for time and don't read through all of the replies. This was one of those times. So here's a
for your reply to the OP.
