Several, yrs ago at a similar Sat morning in Va Bch, VA, a participant showed up with an original Shelby Cobra. He parked where it would be the least likely to encounter another vehicle, and sure enough, some guy showing off, promptly backed into the right rear. Damage was slight, but on a vehicle of that calibre, there is no slight damage.

Yep. A 1955 Porsche 550 Spyder, if i remember correctly.

Wasn't that the model that James Dean died in?

The Porsche appears to be a Speedster, not a Spyder & possibly a replica. The rear view mirror does not appear to be original.-----Henry

I’m pretty sure it’s a Spyder, but it’s hard to make a call on the replica question. The rear mirror is a little different, but I’ve seen others with the more common “mirror on a stick” version swapped out with something similar. At most car shows, seeing a Spyder or a Shelby Cobra, I would assume it’s a replica, but with the cars that show up at this specific Cars & Coffee event, more often than not they are originals.

Thank you for sharing. Some beautiful cars there. I particularly like the orange Z car and bright yellow Pantera. I love going to car shows where there is a great variety of cars and not the typical collection of Mustangs, Corvettes, etc.

Some shots from this past Saturday's Cars and Coffee event in Great Falls, VA. The shots below are only a small sampling of the cars that congregate every Saturday morning, and do not even include some of the really incredible cars that were there this weekend, like a 1911 Franklin that looked like it just rolled off the showroom floor (the crowd around it never parted long enough to get a decent photo). FYI, this is the event that made national news last year when someone backed over the front end of a $300k custom Ferrari F458.
