My mother's best friend's son died of AIDS 15 or 20 years ago. He was a very nice man, talented choral singer, snappy dresser...a good guy.

When he came out, his family adopted the theory that he had been turned and converted by bad people. He was from a very Southern Baptist family, they could not handle the t***h that their son was gay. Somebody had to have led him astray.

He was born gay. We were friends around the ages of 5-8 years. I knew then that he was different from other boys, but I was too young to be aware of sexuality. We visited the family during holiday times in my mid-teens, and within minutes of talking with him I figured him for gay, even though he wasn't out yet. A few years later he came out, and it made sense to me.

If he chose to be gay, he must have made that decision at three or fours years old...before he knew what sexuality was.

But, that would not make much sense would it?

He was born that way.

I can only say I agree with the Bible, and for the record homosexuality is sin such as fornication adultery etc.
But there are people who are or were gay chose to participate in the gay life style chose to follow Jesus and turned away from it.

In a class of forty kids.....2 may be "feeling different"........why subject the other 38? sexual feelings are between 2 people....not 2 and 38.

You seem to put more stock in Mom & Dad as specific roles that can only be provided by the "correct" sex.

Anyone can provide love and support and teach how to be an independent, loving, caring & supportive individual.

Just asking here......choose only 1....NOT both

Do you think it's more important for people
to be heterosexual
or
in a loving monogamous relationship

There are no substitutes for a mother and father. If a pair of homosexuals want to live together thats their choice. But to push an aberrant lifestyle on a child is selfish and unconscionable.

“Correct sex”, yes.
A good single parent that busts their ass usually can achieve this.
Choose only one?
The answer can only be “yes”. Naturally.
