The Flam Railway, the steepest standard gauge railway in Northern Europe

At its end the Sogne Fjord it split into 2 branches and the tiny town of Flam is at the end of the Aurland Fjord. The railway runs between Flam and Myrdal and is 20.2 KM long with an altitude difference of 184 meters. The steepest incline is 55 degrees and it has 20 tunnels, too many waterfalls to count and majestic beauty at every turn. This is a quick trip and by no means can pretend to show all of its splendors, but this is my attempt to give you the flavor of the experience.

Such beauty, the mountains and waterfalls. Being a train buff, I can see this is one to add to my bucket list. Mahalo for sharing.
