The problem with straps you cannot wear them AND a bag pack (dedicated sling like Lower or regular): it slides of and cuts your neck (with and without beard) and /or gets stuck. . Once I bought Peak clip, I took off the strap, keep the little ends and but a plastic tie (like handcuff:) on the ends just in case i want to attach the strap - havent since I did this - but mostly as a short handheld strap . Have the peak clips for belt and backpack clip, and it fits the stand the the plate I bought. (I also bought the binocular attachment for the Peak clip).

Started with the Optech strap, used it for a couple years. Then made the switch to the peak design strap. I’m very pleased with the peak design strap, it’s well made and very comfortable to use.

The OpTech wrist strap is not interchangeable with the shoulder straps. The wrist strap uses a 3/8" 'mini
QD' connect instead of the normal 3/4" QD on the straps. Doesn't work out at all unless you use the tripod mount cuff-type straps. The OpTech wrist strap and shoulder strap are in the bottom of my trunk somewhere. I've switched to Peak Design for straps, bag and clip with lens holder. Peak Design is growing their range of products rapidly and I have found them to be of very high quality.

My OP-TECH wrist strap and shoulder strap use the same clips. I no longer use the shoulder strap because it is bulky. However, it is very comfortable to wear.

Do you have the Peak Design wrist strap? I was thinking about getting that for my mirrorless camera. However, it looks EXACTLY like the Op-TECH wrist strap (except for the connector).

I have a BosStrap (sling style) and a Gordy wrist strap on my DSLR.

I've been using one for years and never had a problem with it scratching the camera or lens. They are bulky and can be hard to fit in a bag, but still worth it.

Peak Design has two 'wrist' straps. I really wanted to use the 'clutch' model, but you have to screw in one end into the tripod mount with an allen key. You can still mount it on a tripod but I would expect it would effect the stability. I went with the 'cuff' design instead, but it was very loose and 'dangely' so I returned it.

Yes, everything is arca type. So long as the L plate is custom made for your camera so it can't turn. Just search custom L plate bracket for ____ or for ____ battery grip. I got mine from B&H and Amazon.
Here's another one with the Peak Design eye but it's to small for my locking carabiners, need to find some smaller ones. I hardly use the long strap because it always swings around banging into things, especially when climbing.

I have what I described and mine interchange perfectly. I'm sure there are several different models OpTech makes, and while some may not be compatible, some are. Mine are.

Recommend the BosStrap invented and sold by Tom Fama in the USA. These are a cross body with a slider, so it hangs under your primary hand when you walk, but ready to bring to eye level or chest level. I have four of them, two for mirroless (1 inch wide straps) and two for a FF Canon (1.5 inch wide). The beauty is that you attach to the left camera strap lug, not the tripod mount, so you always have a quick option to mount on a tripod. Also, Tom has an optional quick release to remove the strap from the pigtail that's attached to the camera lug. Suggest you check out the web site. Good luck with your choice. JimR
