I've just purchased a brand new Olympus E-M10 Markiii. I have scoured the instruction manual and the menu on the camera but for the life of me cannot see how to set this camera to shoot just RAW.
Can someone please either post a link to instructions of give me easy step by step instructions.
Thanks.

Thanks for the link. I do have that saved in Dropbox so I can access it anywhere. I still cannot figure out how to set the camera to shoot in RAW. I read pg. 73, it says if shooting in RAW see pg. 112. Pg. 112 doesn't say anything about RAW.On the camera screen, on the right side under the aspect ratio, it says LN, but I cannot figure out how to get there to change it to RAW. This is not my first rodeo, photographically. Why does this need to be so very complicated. In all my other cameras, mostly Canon, but some others, there is usually a list to choose from including .jpg, jpg+RAW, RAW. I click on RAW and it's done.
Is there anyone on this list who has this camera and remembers how to set it to shoot RAW?
Replying to my own message. Just figured it out. There is a tiny little button next to the on/off switch. I pressed that and was able to navigate over and select RAW. I hope that setting sticks.

Pg 112 is for custom settings. Below is what I see as page 73. See the big numbers 1 and 2:
1. press the OK button and use the up/down arrows.
2. highlight option using left/right arrows, then press OK again. If that is what you stumbled onto, you're good to go
Thanks again, Linda. That is not how I did it, but I will try that and check to see if the camera is set to shoot just RAW.
It should not have to be a "custom" setting on page 100 plus. As the gentleman noted, it was, and is, very straightforward in Canon cameras.

After reading through this thread, I'm I glad my Pentax Camera menus are not that confusing or complicated, they are rather like Canon's from what I've seen. Olympus, Sony, Panasonic, and Fuji have some really crazy making menus. Nikon is not too bad, just different from Canon / Pentax. I also own a Fuji camera, drives me crazy so I close to selling it.

Actually I see no problem with the Olympus menu system. Its like speaking a second language; you can't think in English while trying to spout Spanish. Learn how it is arranged and the logic behind it and its really pretty easy. When you do Olympus you do it the Olympus way and think in Olympeeze....
I recommend you check out Rob Trek's series of videos for setting and tips for Olympus. He mainly uses the E-M10 Mark II as an example but 95% would also be applicable to the Mark III, which lacks a few features of the Mark II and has a few new ones.

Olympus does things in a strange way sometimes. I have both an Olympus OM-d 1 and a Mark 11. In both cameras you can set the image quality, i.e. raw, jpeg, etc either from the menu or from the Control Panel.
The setting can be accessed in the menu under shooting menu 1. In the Mark 11 it is the third item down but you'd never know this from the symbols. In the OM-D 1 it is the forth item down but again, the symbol gives no clue.
It is easier to set the "quality" from the control panel however. The setting can be reached as the bottom item in the second column from the left. Again, no helpful labels.I assume the system is similar in the OM-D 10 models.
Hope this helps.
