Vintage Canon camera with Nikon lens , model and appox value ?
One of the cameras i have is not yet possible to know the model and the approx value , i'm trying to show same pictures on it, back on the bottom side of the camera is printed " made in occupied Japan " , lens is Nikkor -H f.2 5cm with Nikkor Can
condition of the camera considering the age is good
Download is suggested to see better everything
thanks for your time
The body is canon II-B (Not to be mistaken by S-IIB the front is a tad different)
1949-1952. The body range in the $50-150 depending of the state of it (and the serial number, some people would give more money for the very first model).
It was a top notch camera for it's time.
It was sold with a Serenar lens or a Nikkor 50mm f/3.5 (Due to a shortage of material post WW).
I believe people are more looking for the Serenar Lens rather than the Nikkor.
However, I have rarely see the Nikkor lens, so it might have more value.
thanks very much for your answer , i 'm a Nikon camera collector so i do not know about Canon also if is mounting Nikon lens

IMO, the Nikkor lens in screw mount is worth as much as the camera - if not more ! ......
If I were the OP I would research further before trying to sell it. I feel the camera and lens is more valuable than what has been suggested.
If the OP doesn't want to sell it perhaps can load it up with a roll a film and take some pictures. I know I would if I were the OP.
i do not want to sell it , i wish to know some info on this camera and lens , logically if it is very valuable i can consider to trade it with some other Nikon items , 1.'m looking for an used D4 or some old Nikkor manual telephoto lens like the 200 f2 or the 300mm f 2.8
thanks for your answer
I learned to shoot with a Canon VIT rangefinder (with the drop down trigger advance), coupled with a Nikkor 50cm 1.4 lens that came from a Bell and Howell rangefinder that Sears sold. Great combination that worked for many good shots. That body is probably not worth very much and I would put more value in the lens.
I do believe camera and lens have 39mm Leica screw thread mounts, so any lens with this thread can be used.

The words on the bottom re: "Occupied Japan" make his camera worth much more than one might expect to a collector. In 1969 I tried to buy one from a pawnshop but the owner knew his values and thus I couldn't afford it at $450 (1968 dollars)
thank you for your answer , i'm Nikon cameras collector and my hobby is to take photos with old manual lenses mounted in my D3 and D800 if someone offer a convenient trade in , make a deal.
Yes, it is a Leica "alike" and it use a 39mm Leica mount.
It was the first canon range finder with an adjustable / variable magnification finder!
Great using a 1968 reference for pricing... You can find online 1994 Christies auction ... Sold for 242GBP $300!!! ...
Nan, seriously the "Made in occupied japan" is more of a fake idea as most of those camera were bought by American Soldier placed there ... And so those camera came in mass in USA.
Just my local store have two of those camera one for $75 and the other $100.... I can buy it for you and send it back to you for $450 :).
You can indeed find those camera for crazy pricing - But I wonder if they really sells?
You can -however- find numerous completed sales for the $50-$150 - sometime more depending of the Lens sold with, accessories etc.
Some very low number and pristine condition make it possible to get a very good deal.
I don't know for the Nikkor lens as said.
It is a model I really like despite the view finder being on the darker side.
It is a very fun camera to use actually.
thanks for your news , pls call to your local store if he has so low prices ask for a Nikkor 200 f2 manual focus

A good way to determine value is to go on eBay and see what they actually sell for.I think I see some rust, if so, that will greatly decrease value. Also, does the shutter work?

Agree ! Regardless of collector price guides,
L39 lenses are currently far more useful than
any film camera body. And none of the gear
in this instance is rare or landmark, so user
value/demand rules.
Nevertheless, if selling them I'd not separate
the lens and body. You could be stuck with a
low-demand lensless body :-(
