Your right....I looked at some other pics of the gulls and they do have black legs....Thanks for letting me know. I have never seen them on the Tiber Reservoir before and we have been there many times.

You might be right....the Long Billed Curlew has a curved beak and these are more straight then curved. I was told over there that they were the curlew but I better do some research! Thanks!

Thanks for letting me know about the Marbled Godwits....I was trying to research it but wasn't having any luck! But I was able to find the Franklin's Gulls.

It's a non-venomous garter snake....a "bird" eye, and single scale connecting eye and mouth.
