๐Ÿ˜• GREAT! ๐Ÿ˜•
As of January 14, 2020, Microsoft will no longer be supporting Windows 7!
(Two laptops and a desktop.)
It was just a matter of when.

Haha - I go to the next OS in line when I need to replace computers.
I ran 95, 97, 98, and XP YEARS past the expiration date. I think I skipped 97 totally.
7 seems the most stable of all the predecessors. XP was really stable also.
Upgraded to the newest OS when each computer died.

Drive it until it drops. Just because Microsoft doesnโ€™t support it does not mean it will suddenly stop working and the chances are pretty good that if you looked, someone would be able to reload it for you if it came to that.

My wife has a laptop running Win 8 and I only go near that POS with a cross and holy water. Win 10 is better but not as easy to navigate as 7.

If it works for you, keep it!

I do Mike. See my post just before yours.

I'm still running Word 2003, Quicken 2007, and SpiderPad (HTML editor) from 2004. Had one photo editor for 7 years before I upgraded it.

Yep, you ought to put that poor Win 8 machine out of its misery - it would be a kindness

Wow! Win 10 is a much safer (And easier to use) OS than Win 7. Minimal learning curve moving from 7. Easier than changing a camera system, I.e. from Canon to Fuji. But, each to their own.

I did and we are of very similar minds on this one. I still use โ€œoldโ€ versions of Lightroom and Photoshop because I donโ€™t need to keep up with the Joneses and as often as I use them it isnโ€™t necessary to waste money on their subscription based money generator. It was marketing genius from their side, no so much from mine.

We survived such fiascos as Vista and ME we shall survive this one too but just to hedge the bets I am learning to deal with Win 10. ๐Ÿ˜

Very true, I still have Windows 98 on an older computer and it works just fine!

Sometimes I wish I still had a DOS box just for running Lemmings....
They never seemed to run quite right with each successive version of Windows.
I do have a modified version that works under Windows, but the sound is not the same.

Get "Classic Shell_4_3_1." Does good job of making Win10 look and feel like Win 7.
