If you want to use all your lenses you can go mirrorless with R or RP or stick to the crop body models. Going full frame DSLR would not allow you to use the EF-S lenses. We need more info on what you want to shoot. If you don't need a high frames per second an R or RP might make sense for you.

My RP and 5D SR will convert the sensor to crop and shoot with EFs lens. Third party lens, you have to manually change aspect ratio to crop setting in menus. Works fine.

hello, I follow a lot, but not very often post anything... lol. but, I have a Canon T3i, and would like to upgrade, I purchased the Canon T7i, and don't like it, it is not as sharp as my T3i, so I am going to return it, but would like views on other canon cameras out there. I have EF and EF-s lens, so need to stick with Canon. So.... I'll be waiting for responses, Thanks a lot for all your help, Love the group.

Part of the solution could be in a camera menu. If you shoot jpeg there are different picture styles that are basically recipes for how much sharpening, how much saturation, contrast etc. You could try different ones to see if it improves. I dont know your specific Canon, but there is likely an easy way to modify a recipe, increase the sharpening by one, for example. It will be under picture styles in your camera. Look up customizing picture styles in your manual.

Thanks, trying to keep under a $1000. I am thinking the 80d, I mainly use Sigma 24-70 or sigma 150-500, I use them for wildlife , portraits, landscapes. and I love my T3i, just want to upgrade, it's getting old.... lol

My T3i is for the most part very clear and sharp, truthfully , I found it better than the T7i, But it is getting old, and although it still works good, I want to upgrade, and it does have a slight problem, that giving the age of the camera, not sure if I want to spend to get it fixed... It for some reason won't focus... when I look through the viewfinder, it's all blurry, when I take the pic though, it comes out fine, still better than the T7i, I am thinking about the 80d.

I will look into the "M" cameras, however at this point, I am leaning towards the 80d

I think too that I may have outgrown the T3i, I am also looking at the 80d.

lol... I already gave up on the 7Ti, sent it back yesterday, I am leaning towards the 80d, but still looking, do not want full frame, and want to stick with canon, I have a sigma 24-70 and 150-500 that I mainly use on my T3i, and love them both, and have no problem with the lens. I tried them both on the T7i, as well as a couple kit lens, and was just not satisfied with the T7i. Funny thing, in my mind I was thinking the 80d, but had the T1i, then the T3i, and love them, so I thought the T7i would be great.... I just was not happy with the results. So I am thinking about the 80d, hoping if I choose this one, it's the right one... lol

Not sure why either... I tried 3 lens... sigma 24-70, sigma 150-500, and canon 18-55, all the same, on the T3i, they are fine...

Could it be that the viewfinder diopter adjust got out of focus for your eye?

Check diopter if it has one.
