Wow! Quite a beautiful shot.
Your deep space shots always look as if they are in our back yard, Excellent shot.
Are you going to do anything with Saturn's opposition?

impressive shot, how did you do it?
Incredible image. The dl is spectacular.
Tony, Beautiful photo! It would be excellent if you provided details on the equipment you used to capture the image, the ISO used, duration, photo stacking if used and if so how many images in the stack, if used the software to combine the stacked images, etc. You obviously did an outstanding job with beautiful results. As I looked at the image I noted probable multiple smaller/more distant galaxies as well.
Interesting shot. Thanks for sharing.

Image acquired using a 6” refractor telescope with a CCD camera. Multiple 300 second exposures through luminous, red, green and blue filters. Calibrated using bias, dark and flat frames. Registered and combined into an RGB using CCDSTACK software. Master luminous and RGB further processed and combined in Photo Shop for the final image.
Great shot Tony, thank you for sharing this "out of this World" image!
Every time i see a galaxy (I subscribe to a "Galaxy a day" program) I feel awed considering the billions of stars each of them (including our own Milky Way galaxy) consists of.
Far, far away ...
Extremely interesting. I have read that it is now estimated that there are over two trillion galaxies in the observable universe. Many astronomers and physicists think that the universe many be infinitely large. Plus the possibility of a multiverse boggles the mind.
