No one hikes in this region, the area around Nokai Dome. To make these even more unique, these are taken on top of the Navajo sandstone ridges and domes that are hundreds of feet above where hikers normally are (down in the canyon bottoms). We labelled this ridge "Stupendous" on our maps.

Where does the hole in first photo go down to?

Great shots of a new location! I imagine photographers will flock to this new site if at all possible. Thanks for sharing these!

Very unique and interesting pictures. Number 3 portrays the very first time in 80+ years I've ever seen a perfectly straight line in nature - either by experience or in viewing thousands of pictures over time.

Unique shots of a unique area by a unique hiker who took us on this nature venture we can’t find even in NATGEO .., it took some effort to pull this off and we thank you for sharing a slice of the big picture ...

I've been going out for a month or more every year since 1980. We always go Mid-March through April sometimes also in Oct. Now that I'm retired It'll almost certainly go twice a year. I also try to get into the mountains most summers- I've attached an alpine image.
No interest in leadinga hiking group. If you're not comfortable with hundreds of feet of exposure, able to climb fifth class rock(often without a rope), able to carry forty pounds on your back while always off trail and able to find water in the desert this level of hike is not for you.

Just down a few feet (it's filled with water), it's a type of pothole called a weathering pit. Caused, they think, by wind erosion. If you've ever seen (or heard of) The Cosmic Ashtray that's a much larger much easier to access weathering pit.

Top class pics of fantastic scenery - your "alpine image" is also a great pic - much more interesting than just 100% snow covering everything.
