Welcome to UHH Joe, glad you joined us. You have received lots of ideas/suggestions, now I will give you my 2 cents. I would go with the Nikon D500 and the 200-500mm 5.6 Nikkor lens. We have a VERY knowledgeable member, MT Shooter (Name - Carter) that owns a camera store in Billings, Mt. (Camera Cottage). He will be closing his store at the end of the year and retiring. He has a lot of fine equipment, new and used. He is worth a call to see what kind of deal he may have to offer.
I see you listed your location in central Florida, I live in Ellenton which is about 40 miles south of Tampa.

I live in Winter Garden, on the shore of Lake Apopka, which has an amazing north shore wildlife drive. I plan to visit often, especially during he winter when the warblers and ducks arrive.
