Most media is biased, but that does not mean their reporting is not factual. Kind of like the Attic where facts are cherry picked or "basically" factual. LOL!

trump chose to stop aid to the 3 Northern Triangle Countries.
When that at happened, the flow of asylum seekers increased.
Each time trump tries to slow the volume of asylum seekers with a harsher "policy" move, it only worsens the problem.
Logic would have an administration looking for the root cause, and trying to "fix" that root cause.
But the trump administration wants all of that foreign aid money to cover the costs of the trump golf outings.
If trump gives up all of his golf trips, nearly weekly vacations, and his multiple times a week campaign rally trips for the reminder of his time in office, no matter how short that will be, there will be more than enough money to send aid to those 3 Northern Triangle countries. Those countries are experiencing droughts, hunger, and threats to the personal safety of their residents through crime waves. The aid that they used to receive did stem the majority of the flow of asylum seekers, but trump decided he didn't want to continue sending aid because of his campaign promise to stop foreign aid.
That DUMB move is what has caused so many caravans to head north to our Southern Border.
That DUMB move has created the humanitarian crisis on our Southern Border.
Because we have DUMB and DUMBER running the country, they haven't got a clue about how to deal with the crisis that THEY'VE CREATED. As a result, the asylum seekers will keep trudging North.
Why isn't Mitch McConnell pushing judge appointments to handle the immigration crisis in the courts? He's sure making sure that the other trump appointments get through their confirmation hearings swiftly!
Thank goodness that there's only 17 months and 10 days left in trump's term in office!
