The alpha Red Tail fledged right in front of me today. I was so lucky to have seen and photographed it. The middle Red Tail saw the first one and tried to fledge. It didn't go to a branch with no obstructions overhead. It flew up, smacked its head on a branch, crashed and rolled over up side down after grabbing a branch. It was funny after I realized it wasn't going to die. The runt stayed in the nest and ate whatever critter its mom had dropped in there earlier. I hope you enjoy. Gary
These are fantastic! You are so lucky to be able to see and photograph them at this stage in their lives.
