I think if you used a slower speed to blur the props you the aircraft would not be as sharp.

This is not a job it is a hobby... I belong to a Not-For-Profit Org. that restores Huey helicopters...And it is amazing I get to see and photograph some awesome aircraft at our varrious events.

Nice shots....I too served in Nam...our Army post was between the flight line and the heli-port.

Had that thump-thump-thump sound for a year.

Problem was when the rocket attacks at the flight line and heli-port came we were dead center.

Also saw a lot of Sigorsky Skycranes bringing in wounded choppers for repair. BIG THUMPS there.

Great photos, It brought back memories of Vietnam.
May I ask what type of zoom lens did you use?
I might have missed it.

I'm glad you like my photos... I used a Sigma 70mm-300mm macro lens :)

I'm glad you like my photos... I used a Sigma 70mm-300mm macro lens :)
Only on the Huey shots...I used a Nikon 55mm-200mm w/o VR on the fixed wing aircraft...All my shots are hand held...
