Skylum is busy and at it once again with yet another free update... and yes it is faster (at least on my iMac).

The soft launch of Luminar 3.1.1 for users in Australia, Canada, and Austria is now available. Users everywhere else will be able to get the new update within the next week.

In Luminar 3.1.1, you’ll experience easier navigation on both Mac and Windows.
You’ll also see improved launch times when opening Luminar, even if you have hundreds or thousands of photos in your Library. On a Mac, you’ll see a speed boost when creating albums. Finally, Mac users will gain the ability to change the language independent of the system settings.

I have luminar 3 on my computer, but I go to click on it, the word Luminar 3 shows up on my screen than it disapears. It used to work before now it doesn't work, what could be the problem? I contacted Lum. But I don't understand what they are talking about. I wish I could call them, they told me they don't have a number. Thanks Jim Bianco

I would uninstall the program, restart my computer and reinstall it.

It may be faster, but it is still much more of a photo management program than its predecessor, Luminar 2018. I tried 3.0 and the new 3.1 but still feel they tried to create a Lightroom clone rather than a full-featured editing program. I will continue to use 2018 as a plugin to PS, and the 3.xxx will not be part of my workflow. IMHO, of course...

I have tried Affinity and Luminar 3 and find that for me, Luminar is easier to use. One feature is you can very quickly review your photos to find the discards.
