This is a great shot. Certainly unusual for the subject in the foreground having separation, in the reverse of what is considered conventional, with the background sharp and the subject slightly not so. I think it works really well.

I feel that the stronger story would be made by cropping from the left to between the two pedestrians and her right elbow and down to above her to include the sign right of post.
I would name it "A long Friday night party into Saturday".
Nice shot. I totally agree with Stephan G, and would also nip off the white curb at the bottom. Very nice lighting, especially for a street photo which tends to be unpredictable.
Thanks for your comments. I think the entire background adds a sense of dimension and ambiance. Difficult to tell the entire story if some of the pages are missing.
Apart from the obvious, the composition is interesting - the shadows, the perspective and detail of the sidewalk and buildings, and the people walking the other way - very nice!
