Comparing Trump to Hitler is over the top, if you want to talk about juvenile, let's start there.

The children do that just to set you off and it gives them a sense of roll reversal.

And after 2 years of "progressive" media outlets harping on and on about russian collusion the investigation found no evidence. Now CNN is coming in 15th out of the media outlets. Layoffs abound. Not a good time to be a progressive hack.

Can you imagine? Madcow was crying because our president wasn't colluding with Russia. What does that tell you?

The "people" have gotten the message. These news outlets lie and lies presented as t***h are the enemy of the people.

It tells me the media isn't doing its job and they are activists. I h**e to say it but Trump was dead on about some of his comments on the media.

They will keep getting away with it because people put undue trust in them - and they bank on it.

It is not a secret that Trump supporters applaud a "strong-man" leader who openly discredits and defies the media, labeling all media reports that are less than positive as "f**e"; openly dismisses and makes up derogatory names for all those who articulate any criticism of his ideas or authority; defies and resists any challenge or investigation by the Congress, including ordering his subordinates to ignore subpoenas; dismisses the authority of the Justice department; wants to "Your fired" any figure that resists his authority; buddies up to and has a strange attraction to dictators; is a narcissist who loves to see his name displayed on massive structures; feeds on the adoration of cheering crowds; has no regard for t***h, and will thoughtlessly fantasize, exaggerate and lie when ever it suits his immediate needs; and openly displays contempt for accountability and appears to resent all those who think he should be accountable.

In short, Trump would like to be a dictator as much as our system of government permits; and beyond what our forefathers who designed the checks and balances for good reason, would permit.
This is why he was elected; and is, in part, why his supporters still defend him, no matter how indecent and vile he presents himself.

Back to the original post in this thread, there is a pattern. He is a "strong-man" leader who would love to govern as a dictator, and that is why he is admired.

He is a leader that did not go to DC to play the political game as normal, look at what is happening at our border and the congress does nothing, yet the dems find the time to pass DACA in the House strictly for the perceived political advantage in the 2020 e******n while doing nothing to relieve the pressure placed on those trying to secure the border.

Lastly Trump's personal flaws, and he has many, do not put him in the class of Hitler, Stalin, and Mao each of whom k**led millions if not 10's of millions of innocents. Nor do those flaws excuse a media complex that has all but abandoned the any pretense of fair reporting, this is not new to just Trump, the press has since the 70's allowed political bias to influence reporting in this nation, it happened under Reagan, Bush, W and now Trump, worse now than ever, I can't believe that democrats have not voiced greater displeasure towards the media but I guess they are on your side so you will excuse the absence of principles in which they approach their reporting.

Blurry, they don't give a rats ass about what is going on in this country from our perspective.
Trying to explain it to them is a total waste. They will have to live with their pre-programmed view of things wished for.

The traits that I attributed to Trump in my previous post is, like i said, not a secret. Even Trump knows he envisions himself as an above reproach dictator. That was his personality before he became President, evident even on his television show, and in his business, and personal life.
Trump is Trump, and like any adult, cannot blame what he is, or what he does, to a third party. That means he cannot fault his enemies, or the media for what he is, or does. What I said about Trump is not made up media "f**e" news--it is Trump and his vision of his place in the world and history.

I said there was a pattern. He is not a murderer-that is true-but he is a narcissistic bully who has no humility, and believes only in himself. That is a dictator's illusion, and Trump lives in it. In that respect, he is not a victim of the media--rather he is a man who is admired for his "strong man" persona that he has cultivated all his life. Again, that is, to a large degree, why he was elected, and why he remains popular despite himself and his bad behavior.

Twisted media or not, Trump is his own man, and is accountable.

Trump didn't say that his opponents are the enemy of the people, he said the f**e news media is the enemy of the people.

The candidate: Hillary Clinton.

"The gaffe: Asked to name the enemy she was most proud of late in Tuesday’s Democratic debate, Clinton answered: “Well, in addition to the NRA, the health insurance companies, the drug companies, the Iranians—[pausing for laughter]—probably the Republicans.” As Charles Cooke explains, declaring the entire opposition party your enemy makes it tough to run as a uniter."

You are right there is a discernible pattern, and is is unbecoming of a president. However, there is a second discernible pattern that the left doesn't seem able to comprehend.

The press endlessly fact checks Trump and finds him to be lying even on some things where he is saying the t***h. On the other hand the press never fact checked Obama, they served as a propaganda arm of the Democratic party.

For example for two years they have said that Mueller's report will show collusion, yet they have ignored the proven collusion between the Ukraine and Hillary.

Unless the press is unbiased and uncensored they are indeed the enemy of the people.

We now have proof that the Obama administration spied on the Trump administration. Barr confirms it. The only question is whether or not that spying was justified. Well according to the time line of emails, texts, and testimony from Comey and others the answer is no it wasn't. According to Jon Solomon's reporting the timeline says that Comey knew that some of the facts that he vouched for on the first FISA application were untrue. Do you see the mainstream press even bothering to check the timeline? I don't.

That is a clear and dangerous pattern. Our country is currently so polarized that most people on both sides of the aisle seem incapable of recognizing that there may well be wrong on their side. The one thing that is certain is that if the FISA warrant was indeed obtained on a false premise then Democrats and the press were the first to violate the law and based on the investigation so far, they may be the only ones who did.
