I've never see it. People may have it in their gardens. The Biota of North America data show it only in the Southeast and categorize it as invasive. Native North American roses all always have pink blossoms.

Originally from China, but it has been in the US since colonial times. Beautiful rose.

Oh yes, I knew it was invasive indeed, Mike, and the folks at Bellingrath Gardens might be sorry one day that it's allowed to grow in the river area of the gardens. It sure is a lovely sight to see in the spring though...
