Nice shots John. I feel for the farmers as well. It's going to hurt everyone.

Thank you, Jack.

This is what all my farm fields look like today, thanks to continual spring rains, instead of soybeans that should be about six inches tall by now.
It isn’t just me; it’s farmers all over Indiana and the entire Midwest. Don’t be surprised when grocery prices go up due to all the spring flooding.
Corn planting should be at 100% by now, and in my drives around central Indiana, I’ve seen a total of five fields with corn planted in them. The last Purdue crop report said that only 14% of Indiana’s corn is planted. I have never seen a spring this wet so late before. Unfortunately, there’s rain in the forecast again for three days this week. I feel for the farmers.

Bummer John

Same here, looks like we might get some hay in the barns or rolls in the fields.

Tricky to maintain that eternal farmer optimism this year, but your images are lovely. Only 10% of our corn in, more rain forecasted,1st cutting of hay budding but we can't get at it, silos are almost empty, convoluted crop insurance, gotta decide what to do about soybeans. We are fortunate to each have off farm jobs, too, but this year is a tough one.

It’s going to be interesting the year. I have noticed some corn popping up here in Minnesota, the potato fields I have gone by the plants are all different sizes. But very healthy looking. Nice pictures...

Our seasons over this side of the pond seem also to be changing year on year

Global warming is to blame caused by us Humans

But I am not so sure, we had an ice age long before man walked this earth

If we had have been on earth then, it would have been our fault no doubt

Good pictures jaymatt

That’s the same as it is here, too. Thanks for looking.

Glad that your area is doing better than us. I wouldn’t wish this weather on anyone. Thanks for looking.

Thanks, Simon. I believe that climate change is real, but I also believe that it’s cyclical with overall weather patterns rather than being caused by us.
