We have two Honeysuckle bushes. One is white and this one is pink. Our bird feeders
are close by and the bushes provide cover.
Very nice shot. Honeysuckle always reminds me of a friend who went to an all male college back in the 50's. He talked about whenever walking near honeysuckle vines he was reminded of his girlfriend because of the sweet smell. Evidently the flowering vine was in many locations throughout the campus.
They grow wild along roads in WV but as the highway department cuts the sides of the road, every year there are fewer of them.
Honeysuckle is a big problem around here, it's taking over the understory habitat everywhere and is choking out other species, even killing full grown trees with it's massive root systems! It may smell good and make a thick hedge, but it's a really nasty plant that can shoot runner roots underground for many yards to start new stalks and can take over an area in a very short time. That is a nice photo though!
