I came across this tidbit of Navy Aviation trivia.
The link
https://www.midwaysailor.com/midwayva25bomb/The link displays many photos that are click to enlarge of said bomb load and narrative of the event and what led up to the "Bomb Load". As a sea story, it might begin with "this ain't no $h1t".....

Well deserved - only sorry the toilet wasn’t “full”.
I'm reading "About Face" by David Hackworth. I'm at the area of the book after his first stint in Viet Nam. Very interesting book.
There were times when that sit-down style commode would have seemed like a great grand luxury for those of us on the ground in Sunny Southeast Asia.
Oddly enough, the more usual porcelain squatter style was commonly called a 'bomb-sight.'
Well now......I guess the Skyraider could carry anything.

It could carry more ordinance than a B17, which had 4 engines!

The Skyraider was a remarkable aircraft - we were flying them out of DaNang (along with F4s) in 68/69 when I was there. Big ordinance load - 8,000 pounds (plus the toilet of course).
Apparently....Ordinance has No Limitations .....other than gravity & velocity......shit does move downhill.
You are lucky that they allowed those pictures. As a former combat photographer we were not allowed to photograph planes with loaded bomb racks for security purposes.Of course it all depended on the flight security officer and deck officers

Now I know why Viet Nam turned out the way it did ----- they didn't include the flusher!
