I think I'm obsessing on hummingbirds. They challenge my skill and equipment like no other birds in my purview.
Joe, the hummingbirds need to step up their game. You have pretty much mastered their challenge as seen in the excellent shot!
Obsessing or not, I wouldn't worry Joe?
You are getting excellent results! Thank you!
Which focal length lens did you use and what distance they let you to take this shot?
Cheers!

Thanks for the encouragement. I used Sony's A6400 camera and the 100-400 f4.5-5.6 GM @400mm, ISO 800, f7.1, 1/640s, distance about 12 ft.. The image is cropped.

Joe, I agree as to the difficulty and this photo shows off your ability to overcome it.
Greg
I've always found photographing hummingbirds to be a lot of fun and somewhat of a challenge. The real challenging part is attracting them in the first place followed by being ready to photograph them when they do show up. At my home away from home I have several hummingbird feeders set up and we have planted lots of plants that attract both hummingbirds and the insects they feed on. By the way, nice photo...
