The second one looks like a female Common Grackle.
No idea what the first one is.

First one is definitely a Lady Gouldian finch. There is also a black faced version. Pretty common with Aviary enthusiasts.

Given that we are in California, I think the dark bird is a Brewers Blackbird rather than a grackle. The eye is distinctive and a Google search will turn up some very similar images. Good pose!
