Several prints (non-photographic) in the den had faded over the years. My wife suggested we replace them with some of my flower photographs. The attached photo was cropped to use as a replacement. It was taken near a pond in Florida. After cropping, much to my surprise, there was a grasshopper in the photo. After showing the photo to my wife, she liked the flowers and said the bug made the photo unique. In order to see the bug, you must stand relatively close to the 5x7 photo. Comments are always welcome.
To me the composition is outstanding. The stalks to the left compliment the grasshopper's image in the pretty flower.
A very nice photo Jack. My wife is wondering what kind of flower it is? Is it wild?

Thanks for your positive comments. My wife thinks the flower is a Day Lilly.

Yes, Grasshopper. Is that why a piece of the flower to the top right is missing? Had you taken the photo later the hopper might have eaten the flowers in their entirety. One reason I prefer if I get any insect at all in a flower image that it be a Honey Bee. At least that is positive for both organisms.
Looks like a Canna lily to me. Have some in our yard.

For those of you who have verified the flower is a Canna, thank you. The photo was taken at a pond in Celebration Florida where my daughter lives.
Grass Hopper ??????? Looks more like a Cricket.
Can't see enough of the insect to ID correctly. I will not go there until. Don't suppose you have a better shot of the insect????
