I Am convused (I confuse easily).The constitution says that an impeachment requires high crimes and misdemeanors. Exactly which one of these has Trump even been accused of? Has there been a secret charge of any crime? Has he been found guilty in a secret trial? Has there even been any crime involved? Will some one please answer any of these questions so as to end my confusion.

Impeachment is similar to indictment. The difference is that indictment comes from the legal system while impeachment comes from the House of Representatives.

Trump has not yet been impeached. A lot of people have accused him but they have no standing. The entire house has to bring a bill of impeachment by a majority v**e.

There has been no trial yet (and won't be until a bill of impeachment has been passed) so he has not been found guilty. The trial that follows impeachment is held in the Senate. Conviction requires a supermajority v**e (I think it's 2/3, or 67 v**es).

As far as the existence of a crime, that is not for me to judge, It's for congress to determine.

I believe there have been two presidents that have been impeached: Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton. Richard Nixon had impeachment proceedings started but he resigned before a bill of impeachment was passed. Neither of the two impeached presidents was convicted by the Senate.

Yes you are correct that the money given to Iran was their money. But explain to us why it was paid in cash and not sent through normal banking channels. Common theory has it that cash was best so Iran could continue paying terrorist organizations without there being a money trail leading back to Iran.

It's highly unlikely that impeachment will ever occur but if it did here's another scenario. Pence appoints Trey Gowdy VP then resigns. Gowdy becomes President and then Gowdy reappoints Pence as VP. Lol!!
