Wood and Rust

I took these two pictures in Riverside Park, which is located near my home in New York City. The first is a picture of what is left of an old, weathered wood post located just off shore in the Hudson River. It is one of a number of similar posts that were holding up some structure such as a pier.

I like both pictures, but am curious what others think. Thanks for looking and all comments are welcome.

I really like them. They have an untold history, character and a beauty that new and shinny can't match. It's why there's a draw to that outdoor, old car place in Georgia that some have posted, old barns and old boats, pealing paint, etc. Glad you shared these. Thanks

I too like these pictures and old deteriorating structures in general.
