I purchased the Arsenal product and I took a few photos using several settings to see the differences. I am a beginner so I purchased the Arsenal to see if it would help me. I have a Canon EOS Rebel T6i (750D) with the EFS 18-35mm kit lens. I am going to post two sets of photos with three of each. First will be with the Arsenal , the second with Scene Intelligent Auto and the third with Program AE. All the data should be with the photos.
So, what did $200 buy you?
Allan, will you discuss what you learned by comparing these exposures?
I bought the Arsenal to give it a try and see what $200 buys you. Using the phone app was pretty good. Adjusting focus points, not having to look thru viewfinder, and seeing what aperture, F Stop and ISO settings are in the shot was interesting. I am not experienced enough to start playing with the cameras manual settings but as someone will say, "Time to start". Certainly an experienced person would not use this device and would probably shoot in RAW and adjust it in software. I would certainly use it again when I am shooting with the tripod. With regard to the shots of the bridge in the background, Arsenal is 1/80, F5.6, and ISO 200, Scene Intell is 1/50, F4.5 and ISO 100, Program AE is 1/100, F5.6 and ISO 200. The photos of the rocks and rambling water is Arsenal 1/10, F10.0, ISO 100, Scene Intell 1/60, F5.0, ISO 100 and Program AE 1/80, F5.6 and ISO 100. I prefer the Arsenal shots but you could get those shots in software. Could I live without it? Certainly but I wanted to see how it took photos. As it gets more features, I will see how it goes in the future.

Thanks much. Sounds like you are enjoying. I wonder if this gadget appeals more to techies and/or those who have no film background.
Not meant as a put-down at all, just curious. I'm all about the
individual enjoyment of photography, whether that means 100% manual control, shooting raw and editing, or using auto and simply capturing memories or the beauty around us.
Happy journey!
Thanks Linda. I am learning new stuff everyday. Happy snapping.
