This is gorgeous, R.G.! Of course my eye goes directly to the white water, then I wander around in the lush green foliage that contrasts so beautifully with the gnarled trees. Great sense of depth from foreground to where the stream disappears.

A new favorite of your many outstanding landscapes!

Thank you Linda. Glad you liked. I thought about boosting the saturation of the background greenery but I decided it suited the subdued colouring, and it's in contrast to the more lush foreground greenery.

That decision helped support the feeling of depth, I think.

Hi, Coz,
I like this image of an interesting limited landscape.
The sharply carved deep channel with steep and close-set walls coursing vigorously and deeply through the woodland is well seen and well pictured.

Y’r Coz in the Dakota territory
(there is stealthy movement afoot to re-combine the two Dakotas...watch this space)

Thank you Coz in the territories. I hope your union goes well. Does that mean that the US would be down to 49 states?

A very lovely shot. The fact that the stream is, more or less, in the middle, implies that you are standing on a bridge, above the stream. Is that correct, or were you able to frame the shot to appear that way, even though you may have been standing on the (left) shore?
