What a difference a day or night makes. It's all my fault I should have sprayed deer deterrent, but forgot.

Wow! The deer were merciless. Thankfully you got a nice shot before disaster struck.

Janos, I need to plant some to attract some. Might be cheaper than corn. The photos are great.

Oh no! And such a beautiful plant and blooms, Janos. Does the deer deterrent work? I'm using deterrent to keep squirrels from destroying my plants, but it has to be applied again each time it rains.

I didn't know that deer liked munching Hibiscus. I have one, but it's on the deck 6 steps up. I guess they just don't know it's there.
Keep it out of reach of the deer and maybe it will recuperate enough to bloom again. This winter, bring it indoors and put it in a cool place and water it occasionally. You might have some luck next spring and have a fully functional Hibiscus. I had one for several years that I did that to and it always came back.

Nice catch Rich. I didn't say they were the same plant. I had two further from the house and they ate both, plus a rose bush.

True. I had one that wintered in the garage, and it came back. Unfortunately the deer got that one too.

Thank you Donna. Actually these are not the same plant. They were identical though. The deterrent seems to work and both roses and hibiscus survive where I spray.
