What an amazing little camera, and what
suprising image quality.
Was worried about spending so much for such
a small toy, but the proof is in the images.
After actually using it today, I feel
I made a good decision.
Never bothered with a point and shoot till now,
but figure the timing was right to make the leap.
Sure this thing is not the equal of my 5DMKII
Who would think it was, but it makes a very
respectable image none the less.
I guess I'll have to give away the old XTi
A camera is only as good as the one you've got
with you.
There are better cameras out there, but I doubt
it will fit in your pocket.

I got mine about two months ago and it's impressive. These were taken recently and I know they suck but it still shows the resolution (they're straight from the camera without post processing).
20MP with a 1" sensor & a great chip that shoots RAW. It fits in a pocket, what's not to like?
I'm using mine at parties when I don't want to lug around the a850 w/ grip. It takes some amazing shots, even in tough situations. I'm still getting used to it, but it's a definite keeper and will be seeing more and more use in the future.

I bought one also a few months ago. This camera has an amazing ability of getting the WB right in some of the most extreme circumstances. Couple this with the great pics and really quick shutter response got me to invest. I currently use a Sandisk extreme 32gb card which seems to help while allowing video to run at a better clip. Battery life is as good as any in this price range. I love mine.

I only keep an 8GB in mine. I figure I'll have it in my pocket if I run out the door without any of my bigger stuff if I see something that I want to shoot.
That said, I should probably get a bigger card, just in case. I'm not really into video but the higher transfer rate could help when shooting high speed.
Isn't she though! And to think she married into the family!! My wife's cousin's son to be exact, but now she's family!! The next photo in the lineup, however, is a bit messier  but still gorgeous.
I'm also learning to use the panorama mode. It's amazingly easy. I can't wait to print one for a wall hanging!
There's a lot in this little camera.
Also note; these are straight out of the camera....no pp.
A 'messier' beauty

After owning this camera, I expected these quality shots as you have shown!!!

I myself do not do a lot of video but as you stated the 45s transfer rate seems to help but I have not compared to a slower card.
