Excellent in all ways; thanks you two! It is SO helpful in portraiture to have a summary of the lighting set up as you do. After all, technically it is really what sets portrait photography apart from other types (except product, which is "inanimate portraiture", I think).

And yes I find that portraiture presents challenges that most other genres for free from...
Even for location work lighting is so very crucial to the outcome... I find it nearly impossible to achieve without a lighting assistant (which btw, is how I started my journey in this genre). Assisting others is a stellar way to come up the curve quickly... especially so if there is a client in the mix.... lol
