My wife and I went to the mountains in North Carolina for our 50th Anniversary. I took my crystal ball up to the Blue Ridge Parkway to take some pictures of the wildflowers. This is just a sample of what I captured. Hope you enjoy.
Very nice captures!
I'm slightly lazy. I would mount the crystal ball on a lucite holder and then on top of a tripod.
Happy shooting!

Thanks for looking. We all have a little lazy streak. This is what I use. The ball sits on the cut off water bottle.

Excellent contraption. I hope you have had it patented.
Best of all, a hand holding the crystal takes a little away from the final image.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos and your technique for capturing them.
Received a ball as a gift. Have yet to try it. Thanks for the motivation.
Nice shots. For the heck of it, just prior to leaving on a 6+ week tour of the SoWest, I bought a Crystal Ball. I got the same advice from KayakingUSA about his holder, but I didn't have the time to craft one (although I think it's a great idea). Instead, I bought a small black suction cup that screws onto a tripod & headed off. KayakingUSA suggested it might interfere with the photos (which it did a bit although cropping addressed that) ... but the worst thing was after someone bumped my tripod at the Grand Canyon ... was watching that ball (in slow motion) tip off the tripod ... smack on the edge of the canyon (with a few splinters of glass flying off) ... then bouncing down to a ledge about 20 yards below (with more splinters of glass reflecting in the bright morning sun) ... before it disappeared over the edge & down into the canyon!!!!

Sorry to hear about your mishap. I still have to be extra careful with mine but that is the case with all equipment. Tripods are dangerous. Hope you got some good pics before the plunge.

Thank you ... I'd say I got some "okay" shots ... none as good as the OPs or those you posted a while back ... I've learned there is a knack to using a crystal ball ... I was shooting sunrises & had some issues with flare ... but I did have Amazon send me another while on the trip, so got a halfway good shot of the Yellowstone Lower Falls. But I am going to try making a holder like yours once I'm through my trip photos!!!!
Very nice series. Take Scuples advice and patent that gizmo
