Canon G9X Mark II ?

Can anyone, from personal experience, tell us about their experience with the Canon G9X Mark II camera? Image quality, build quality etc. I know it is VERY small. Is this a problem? Seems like it would be great for pocket use and it does have a 1 inch sensor.

I have one. The image quality is great and is further enhanced by capturing in RAW for subsequent editing. The wireless is easy enough to set-up and transfer images from the camera to phone for near immediate posting. So, I capture in both JPEG-small and RAW where I might share some images in the hotel (camera > phone) and have the RAW images for my computer when I get home.

The camera fits in your pants pocket making it handy for hiking, concerts, etc where your big camera isn't an option. The pop-up flash has Flash Exposure compensation making it very useful in controlling the light output for certain situations. The IBIS is great and if I can't hold the camera steady enough at some crazy angle, I can flip to manual exposure and dial-in a higher ISO / faster shutter to compensate.

Flickr is offline so I can't link to examples. Here's something from a campground on the AT in 2017 in Virginia.

I own the older version of the G9X. I use it as my back-up camera. It is a great camera for travel, hiking, but also for situations where you don't want to show off a camera. Its smallness is a real plus: it fits into my shirt pocket. If I put it into my pants pockets one can barely notice a bulge. The image quality is great too.
