I like that the eyes are more visible but not that the face and shadows got darker. Finding it hard to pick which I like better.

Thanks Bill. I appreciate your comment.

Maybe it's my eyes, but I don't see that the face and shadows got darker in the second one. All I did was brighten the eyes. I didn't do anything to the face and shadows.
Am I missing something?

Might just be my eyes...second photo looks darker to me. Might have been the way it downloaded to UHH or my computer...

You did fix the eyes though and that is what you set out to do. Good job.

I can see where the eyes in 2 are more visable but on my system 1 has better skin color than 2.

Thanks Grandpa.

Any idea how I can make the eyes more visible without effecting the skin color?

If this is what you want, use the dodge tool & make the tool big enough to go just inside his glasses then cick until you get what you want. Good pic. Or you can click on store original and repost it & I will do it for you.

Thank you Steve! I had no idea what the dodge tool did. You taught me a very easy was to do what I wanted to do. I'm sure I'll find the dodge tool helpful in the future.

No, I didn't mean for a different exposure, I just meant a different crop. But the fix you did on cropping was great. Realy good shot
