A nearby Golf and Country Club has a beautiful entry centerpiece. I decided on photographing it at night when it was all lit up just for the drama of the scene. When I got there I discovered that there are NO of any kind set up on this display. With trusty tripod in hand, I decided I could still get a worthwhile photo. Below is the result. I did NOT to any light painting to capture this scene. A simple raising of the ISO to 500, a long exposure of 30 second an an aperture of f4 produced this result. The only light available was the glow left by the sun that had set 90 minutes earlier.
I hope you enjoy the image. Thanks for looking.
A fascinating, delightful result! (appears to be leaning a tiny bit to right; a one-degree rotation worked for me
)
Larry, this gorgeous downloaded. It has a special cool, serene quality. I think it is just right. Lights likely would have been a distraction.

It may not have turned out to be the image you set out to capture but it's a great job of playing the cards you were dealt. Impressive shot.

Thanks. So often I see these kinds of display all lit up and that is what I was expecting. But when I got there no lights. There were not even any lights installed. But I was there---so thought I would try something. I'm really happy with the results.

Thanks very much. I appreciate the thoughts.
Thanks a lot. Good things seem to happen when you push the camera and yourself to do things you have not tried before.
