Regarding Casey, that is true but he popularized the concept of the aura.

Kirlian Photography purports to show the 'living Aura' of plants, animals & humans. I've seen the Kirlian photos of a whole plant leaf. Then they cut HALF of the Leaf away, take a second photo and the Aura (a fuzzy outline of the original subject ... is STILL THERE in its entirety and undiminished even though the piece is gone from the new photo!

Several Years ago I saw separate individual photos of a young guy and then a young girl, they are not together in the same photo. It shows a baseline for their 'aura' around each of them.

Then they placed the subjects together and have them embrace and kiss, their AURAS are CONJOINED and FAR LARGER indicating the old phrase .... "it was LIKE MAGIC or CHEMISTRY " Perhaps there is MORE to this phenomena than meets the unaided eye?

It certainly gives enough evidence to ..... move forward looking for more Scientific FACTS . . . .

note: I cannot remember what type of camera or medium was used to capture these 'effects'.
I even saw a documentary on Cable TV about it a few years ago. The implications of 'auras' .... are far reaching, with a wide range of suppositions .... as yet unproven.

But this process, is obviously extremely enticing .... as I freely admit I'm not sure but what we see in these photos is the INFRA RED PATTERN left by objects removed; and as far as the smooching couple, it is obvious that as most of us know ... a GOOD SMOOCH with a Hottie is liable to HOT UP ALL of our INFRA RED SIGNATURES! ;-)

Don't mess with electronic flashes, especially don't add capacitors. Current kills and the released current depends on stored energy. Capacitors store energy!

Instead of using the word "aura", I prefer the term "corona".

If you google "corona", include "electric" or you will learn about beer.

Yep, must have experienced that phenomenon myself just a couple years ago.

I enjoy playing a concert guitar and it took some time before an instrument that provided the whole experience for me - sound, beauty, handling (playing), etc. was found. I wasn't looking for that special guitar, it just happened to become part of my life.

When playing, the fretboard gets the vast majority of my attention as the strings are fretted. It is a very dark ebony color with a slightly discernible texture. Seeing that ebony board just 8 to 10 inches away from my eyes so often has caused me to look for other woods that are pleasing to look at.

About a year ago my spouse and I traveled quite a distance to look at and restore the more than 100 year old family grave site - guess we were the first there in dozens of years since all the family had moved to different parts of the country. First walking onto the site I noticed a tree that for some reason became a frequent focal point as we spent time working there. Several days later as we were preparing to leave I mentioned the curious tree to a local resident and was told it was a very old ebony tree.

Did I "feel energy" from that tree, must have.

Hadn't thought of that tree much again until your post above, thank you.

Tongue somewhat in cheek, I'd recommend the following for those who see auras:
First, get the cataracts fixed
Second, review the 3 laws of thermodynamics.

Waiting to see an example.

Here is an example of my three middle fingertips(left hand I imagine since I am left-handed) from the late seventies, I don't remember what year. Front and back views of photo, with number imprinted on back. sponge residue from sponge backing of frame that picture is in. I don't remember the set up either, perhaps someone can identify the type of photo paper used, I think it was Polaroid.

Very interesting post! As part of my misspent youth, I lived in Arizona for awhile and became friends with a couple of Navaho and through them was introduced to a couple Apache down in the White Mountain Reservation. Long story short, I experimented with peyote a couple of times. I can assure you, all living beings have auras and under certain circumstances they can be clearly seen...whether you want to or not. I'm not a new age knucklehead but I know what I saw.
