Hi Tenny,
A smartphone or usb camera can work great with a telescope, but my pic of the moon was taken without a telescope, just handheld with a Coolpix B700 with a 1440mm equivalent focal length zoom lens.

Here's one of Jupiter I got with a telescope and a usb camera that I'd never get with any camera without a telescope.

Second, you have to realize that "Canon, Nikon, Pentax, & Sony, & Other Camera Makers" are not in the phone business. Likewise, the phone makers are not in the camera business. The phone makers are trying to improve their cameras but only with the idea of selling more phones. They are not trying to compete with Canon, et al.

By the same token, Canon, et al, are not trying to make phones; they have no expertise in that area and have no desire to try to get into that crowded market.
