The Blokker or Blokweerse windmill is one of the nineteen Kinderdijk windmills.
The windmill is also known as the Blokkerse Wip, because it is a seesaw.

Already in the Middle Ages there was a mill on the site of the Blokker mill.
This original mill was set on fire by Spanish troops during the Dutch uprising.
Current mill dates are from the beginning of the seventeenth century.
Last restoration took place in 2001, after the mill was partially burned on July 27, 1997.
This mill is intended to pump water out off the Blokweerse part of the Alblasserwaard.

The Blokker is built on a brick parapet.
Flight is 26.9 meters and the wheel has a diameter of 5.7 meters.
The mill has an outer rocker for operating the catch (brake).

Owner of this mill is the World Heritage Kinderdijk Foundation.

Nice image!

I’m guessing that the mill structure is made entirely of wood - if so that’s an impressive feat of design and engineering!
