Trying to purchase a YONGNUO YN-568EX flash for my Canon, but couldn't decide which model to go? Googled for YONGNUO YN-568EX III review, but didn't find any. Please let me know your experience with either one of the models. Thanks

FYI - just took a look out of curiosity. Found several different mid-year 2018 complaints on DPReview about YONGNUO YN-568EX III flash units not working properly.

I do not know if this is also true for the YN 568 models, but I know that a lot of folks prefer using their old, first generation YN-560 flashes over the YN-560 III, just because the LED display is so much easier to read than the LED display built into later models.

I've had no problems with my 568.

(3) YN 568EX, (1) YN 622N-TX, (3) YN 622N ... about 3 years now and all worked with no hiccups.

No comment on II or III versions.

I would highly recommend the YN686EX-RT.
A phenomenal speedlight with built in radio.
The battery lasts for hundreds of shots and is rechargeable.

Check out Yongnuousa.net. The owner is a photographer who recommended Yongnuo so much, based on his own experience, that he became a distributor for them. You'll find lots of information and even basic replacement parts like battery doors. He gives very detailed descriptions of the models he carries so you can evaluate the benefits for yourself.
