I saw your title so I had to look at your post. When I first saw it I thought I can't do anything, I don't understand it. Then I looked at the comments and decided to give it more thought.
OK, this time my eyes went to what I think looks like a bird and couldn't get past it. Went back to the comments and realized there must be a lion's head in there somewhere. Didn't see it.
OK must be missing something. Up till now didn't go to the download page. Went to download page and blew it up and all of a sudden I saw it.

It intrigued me - I thought wow this is really interesting. I saw a comment that suggested a vignette so downloaded your image and opened in Photoshop and applied the suggested vignette. As I was trying out some things I decided you probably added a white vignette. Not sure if you did but as I tried a black one I didn't like it. It did highlight the lion's head but too strongly. I like your image as it is with one having to look at it 2 or three time to see what you are presenting to the viewer.

To me any picture that gets someone to look at it several times and see something different each time is a winner. Yours does this to me. If it was mine I would do something about the bird area, it takes too much attention away from the lion's head. I love all the colors, spot on with that area.

I think what you have here is art and I believe it is much better than you think. I would show it to some people in the know about art and get their opinion. I think you might be surprised.

I looked at this image after reading the title. My first thought was "he is opening up a can of worms". Most people who view it will have something they like or don't like about it. My question is what were you looking to accomplish?
I like it for what it is a stone formation with lots of texture and nice lighting. I too did not see the lion but I did see what i thought was a bird. Every viewer will have a different reaction to this shot, but I think that is what makes it interesting.
