A visitor to the neighborhood!

My wife came running into the house yelling "get your camera" so I grabbed it and ran after her. This young bear was right down the street feeding on some food he had taken out of the trash can in the neighbor's garage. I took the pictures from about 40 yards, with my hand held Nikon B700 P&S. The telescope has good reach but the sensor isn't good enough to get really sharp images in this situation. Fun though.

Photos are pretty good and capture a wonderful memory which is really the most important component.

The pjotos are more than good enough. Thanks for posting. Lovely animal. Glad your wife was on the alert for good shots like these.

Very nice photos. Looks like a young bear. I hope he doesn't make a habit of going into garbage cans. A fed bear is a dead bear.

Thanks for the nice remarks. I'm certain that this is one of two cubs that my neighbor had taken Cell phone video of with the mother bear when they were very small. One of the cubs was halfway up a tree and the mother seemed to be encouraging him on how to do it. I know these bears live around us and we are usually very careful with our trash barrels.
