Nice. They must be related to llamas. If "llama" begins with a double "L," why didn't Fernando Lamas spell his name with a double "L"?

Excellent shot. The three are alert and posed very nicely. The mist and moutains make a great background. The three stand out against this light background. The background completes the story without detracting from the subject.

Maybe because he wanted to pronounce it "lama" not "yama". "Yama" is the Spanish pronunciation of llama.

Maybe there is no association between his name and llama.
Spanish translation of lamas is "the most".

Great shot of the Guanacos against the sky/mountains! I was down there and was constantly trying to be in the right place for the silhouette shots, got some but not as nice as yours!

Ol’ Fernando didn’t want to be called “Yamas”, so he dropped an L. My guess, anyhow.
