Sigma DG 150-500mm f/5-6.3 APO HSM DG SLD RF OS Sport Lens VS Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary Lens

Ok dear group, I am in a lens delemma, I currently have the sigma 150-500mm the sport version it is a very heavy lens, I like the idea of extra 100mm with the 150-600mm and perhaps lighter than my sport lens.

Has anyone experience with both lenses that could give me their imput?

Thank you

As usual with UH you don't tell us the camera brand ...so Nikon 200-500 wins

In order of image quality, the Sport 150-600 is the sharpest and also the heaviest. The Contemporary is better than the 150-500, but it is close to the Nikkor 200-500. Out of all of these, I like the Tamron 150-600 G2. And I already own a Sigma Sport 150-600, and have tried all of the above.I also owned a 50-500 for a number of years.

You may want to look at this article for some insight:

Yes you probably able to loose a bit of weight, and the 150-600 is optically a much better lens compared to the older 150-500, especially with the Contemporary version, which out resolved the Sport version in testing reviews!
