Affinity and browse

Long time user of PS, and about to begin studying Affinity. But I'm still working with memory cards from my camera. So here is my question:

In PS, you (and me) use Bridge to view all the image on my memory card. IS there a similar function inside Affinity Photo?

And, in advance, let me say Thank You so much for your answer(s).

No, but if you like Bridge it is free so you can download and install it without any fees. I use a program called "FastRawViewer" which isn't free but it is inexpensive to buy with free updates.

FastStone Image Viewer is another good free alternative for browsing and deleting files, including RAW files.

James, thank you very much. I've already downloaded the software, and paid for it. I'm not sure it is that intuitive. But I have it working. Seriously, the pdf is 230 pages long??? Wow.

And DWU2, I appreciate your telling me about fastone. It looks great also.

Thanks guys. I knew you've have an answer for me, I just didn't expect it so quickly.

BTW, if you are having Robocall nightmares, there is a discussion going on there, and I'm sharing my good experience with others.

You can use Bridge and have it invoke Affinity (instead of PS).

Can you explain what you mean "invoke" Affinity? What did you do in Bridge to accomplish that?

And thanks. Bill

Invoking Affinity Photo is just transferring the image to Affinity to work on it. You can send images to Affinity from FastRawViewer too. It's the same thing you do when you use Bridge and send the image you choose into Photoshop. I believe you set up the programs you want to transfer photo to from Preferences.

Thank you. Have you read through or skimmed the 230 pages of FastRawReader?

Actually I have skimmed through the manual. It gives you the advantage of looking at the actual Raw histogram instead of just the imbedded JPG histogram. It also allows you to make some adjustments and transfer the image, with the adjustments you made, into Affinity Photo as a starting point. There are a number of videos on their site showing how to use it and its various features. The image isn't changed by your adjustments in FastRawViewer, they are written to a sidecar file. Any ratings you give the pictures are written to the sidecar file too so whe you open the image in an editor the settings from the sidecar file are recognized.

I have set up FastRawViewer (and Faststone Viewer) to transfer images to Affinity Photo, ON1 Photo RAW 2019, Luminar and other programs too.

I'm installing a new Wacom tablet, while I'm also extracting an image for my other half. That part is finished, so now I need to learn more about pen pressure in the tablet. Then....I can swing back to FastRawViewer....on my way to a major summer project....try to learn as much about Affinity as I already know about Photoshop. A busy summer ahead.

I am a true Apple computer person here, and still very pro Photoshop, but I'd have to say that there is a program known as Paint Shop Pro that is very outstanding, and it is made for the PC only.

The world continues to rotate.

I use Bridge with Affinity. In Bridge preferences you can set it to open images in Affinity instead of PS.

I use Faststone Image Viewer to offload and screen images from my camera. From there I go to Affinity.
