Thank you Fredrick. How did you scan the slides? I have a whole bunch (at least 10 carousels) going back to the 1963 Worlds Fair and further. It will be a big project, but i want to get copies to my sister and cousins.

I have an 8 year old Epson Perfection Y500 scanner. It only scans 4 slides at a time. I believe the Epson Y600 will scan 10 slides at a time.
I had a bunch of carousels as well, and looked at each slide with a viewer first, then only scanned a subset of them because it takes some time.

I also started with a Minolta SRT 101... I shoot Nikon now and macro is my niche. I lived in Jacksonville it the early 70's. Worked at St Lukes Hospital and lived about a half mile from the Anheuser Busch brewery

I was born in J'ville and grew up in the Arlington area and stayed in the southside area 60 years before moving. Jacksonville just got too big for ol' Ken. Yeah the 101 was a nice camera but, I am partial to Sony's. I too have gravitated to macro and close-up photography. I stated posting today. Check out the sweat bee and spiderwort.
