I was 26, working in Hawaii as a tech Rep. with the Hawaii Air National Guard. That was a balsa wood board covered with fiber glass.
Wow. That was a huge board. I had one that was large that I called "The Great Banana" because it was yellow. Not that big, though. I do have some cool shots of me with my band and many with my various guitars. It's fun to look back, ain't it?
I forgot to mention that the year was 1960.

I have never been "cool" LOL
Remember in the 60’s every parents’ nightmare was ‘The Permissive Society’?
They wouldn’t let me join - I wasn’t cool enough.

I don't really remember the permissive bit. I got married in 1960. In the 40's and 50's I was a drummer in various bands and that was pretty cool. We, who were into jazz, might have qualified for being a bit outre' but we were mostly harmless, as was the music that we were playing. Darn, I miss those days.
A couple of old shots from who knows what year (70s?)... One is with a bearded friend at an airshow-I don't remember any of them!

I was never cool, but I became one of the people, my parents always warned me about!
