I just got a recorded, computer-generated voice warning about a possible breach of an unspecified account. It was supposedly from Apple, and pressing 1 would get me either help or a con artist. I pressed the red BLOCK button on my call blocker and hung up.

Good for you. I was getting <bogus> emails about my Apple account.....

Also received a robocall saying that my computer license will be automatically renewed at $299. Press "1" to cancel and claim your refund. (Probably by giving them my card number to "refund it to".) Never said what company, just my "computer license".
They'll try ANYTHING to get someone to swallow the bait.

I keep getting e-mails from "Apple" with invoices for purchases etc. that supposedly come from Apple in Australia, UK, Germany and I believe the other one was Bangkok. Now I have never had any dealings with those branches of Apple (if they exist) And the only Apple account I ever had was for iTunes which I stopped using iTunes 5 years ago and closed the account. Twice I have forwarded folders of these e-mails to Apple's support/fraud people and never heard from them again after the acknowledgement of receipt so now I just delete them, I get two or three a month for the last two years. Just got one today that said it was an invoice for video games - most of them have been for games. Either the spammer is stubborn/stupid (I have never clicked on an attachment or the links in the messages.) or someone is using that e-mail address to order stuff all over the world while hiding their own identity.

They just shot-gun mail them to lists they acquire in hopes of someone biting.

I called Apple about same thing. They assured me that they do not call people.

I got one about the iPhone 8 which I never had. I thought it would be a good idea to let Apple know about this, but there was no way to forward the email to them!

To go along with that, I get emails and calls telling me my BankofAmerica account, and my WellsFargo account have been compromised and to call or email my identification to rectify this. I do not have accounts with either bank. LOL.
Rich...

I have a lot of "abuse report" email addresses and report most of them, especially for those places where I have an account so they are aware of the attempts to get information.

Yep! And those companies always warn customers not to fall for those scams.
