Godox flashes

I recently purchased a Fuji X-T30, trading in my Nikon D7100, lenses and flash. I wanted something a bit lighter for travel. The Fuji has a built-in flash but it quite low powered. I would like to purchase a more powerful flash for the occasional times I need it. Godox, a company I am not familiar with sells a couple of dedicated Fuji flashes which seem to get high ratings at B&H and Amazon. The Godox is significantly less expensive than the Fuji flashes. Does anyone have experience with the Godox flashes? Any thoughts on the two models that seem to be available: the TT350F and the TT685F?

Godox is one of the best third-party flash manufacturers. I use it on my Nikon D500/850 system with great success.

I have the TT350F for my X-E2.
Great compact size.
I also have the 685 for my Nikon, along with an AD 200 and AD 600.
The 350 and 685 are capable of being used as a master flash trigger and all of them have radio receivers in them for remote use.
They have probably the most extensive line of lighting equipment on the market.

I like the small size of the 350. How do you find its power vs. the larger flash?

I don’t use the Fuji camera the same way as my Nikon with the 685.
The 350 is definitely not as powerful.
I can’t bounce it as well due to the lack of power, but it works great for fill use.

Here’s a great thread on the difference:

I have two that I use w/ a canon 5Diii. They are excellent. Their batteries give one great response time, and hold their charge well. After the trial period I sold my Canon 860 flashes.

I love my godox for my lumix gx9. It is the 860 model.

They are great, comparable in quality to my Nikon SB700 and a lot less expensive. I use the TT685.

I have both models and use them with my XT-20 and X-Pro2 cameras, although mostly off-camera with remote trigger. They are dependable and output is very consistent. Godox has an extensive flash ecosystem available and is substantially more cost-effective than Fuji flashes. You basically can't go wrong with Godox flash units. Just remember that the 350 is not high-powered, but is perfect for what it was designed to do.

I have the 350 but want to use it off camera without a cord. Any suggestions on what to buy and where to accomplish that?
Thanks,
Bill

The Godox X1t for your specific camera works well with the Godox flashes. It's about $45 on Amazon.

Used the Godox ttl350 on my olympus omd1 mk2 at a birthday party using bounce flash and it worked very well. A lot less expensive than the olympus flash units and just as effective.

That certainly depends on how you define "Best".

Godox is certainly good value and reasonable quality for amateur use. Most of their stuff will hold up to hard pro use.

If you define Best as Performance Godox is probably middle of the road getting beaten out by brands like Metz at a slightly higher price the camera mfg speedlites (higher price but lower quality than Metz) at an even higher price and by Profoto at a much higher price

I am not trying to make mincemeat out of Godox - I even own a few of their bare bulb hybrid speedlite/studio units as well as others like Metz and Nikon - they each have advantages/disadvantages and somewhat aligned with their price points - but your statement is a bit off
